Flood & Peterson Insurance, Inc., Premier Employment Screening Services, ErgoMed
Partner to Provide Leading PEST Program

FORT COLLINS, COLO. – January 23, 2007 – The partnering of Flood and Peterson Insurance, Inc., ErgoMed Work Systems and Premier Employment Screening Services introduces the newest and most comprehensive pre-employment/post offer screening program, Proprietary Employment Screening and Testing (PEST). Offering employers the opportunity to conduct a comprehensive pre-employment verification before moving forward with offers of employment, the program aims to “identify the best of the best employees” according to Mike Mitchell, Executive Vice President of Risk Management at Flood & Peterson, Inc.

The first of its kind, the PEST program involves the creation of a service that gives employers a 360-degree view of perspective employees before introducing them to the workforce.

“We looked for a model that could ensure that our clients acquire the best employees possible, and because we couldn’t find that model, we created it ourselves,” says Mitchell. “This type of customer service is in-line with Flood and Peterson’s mission to be trusted risk management advisors to our clients,” Mitchell explained.

“Our commitment is as a trusted advisor to our clients. We want our clients to use the PEST program as a cutting edge tool to improve and protect their assets,” says Mitchell. The PEST program allows employers to cut-down on workers comp fraud as well as to weed-out employees that might present a substantial liability to the company. The PEST program also provides a means for employers to forecast whether an employee presents a substantial risk to themselves or others by predicting whether they are a physical fit for the job.

Katie Zwetzig, President of Premier Employment Screening, says “It was the goal of Premier Employment Screening to develop a unique product offering that streamlines the “onboarding” process.” With the new PEST program, employers have the ability to look at employees with a complete view before hiring them. The end result is the elimination of employee theft and dishonesty, thus protecting both the balance sheet and the reputation of every client.

Along with Flood and Peterson, Inc. and Premier Employment Screening, ErgoMed also joins the trifecta to provide medical pre-employment screening, ensuring that employees can physically and safely do the job they are asked to do. With ErgoMed on board, the PEST program creates a medical baseline to limit the financial and physical exposure of employees’ pre-existing conditions.

Chief of Business Operations for ErgoMed, Max Haynes, is excited about the partnership. “We’ve had a long-standing relationship with Flood and Peterson. We are thrilled to continue the relationship and combine our efforts through the PEST program,” says Haynes. With the goal of becoming the most comprehensive pre-employment screening service available, Haynes believes that the new partnership makes the entire pre-employment screening process complete and allows clients to attract employees who can contribute to the success of their business.

“Employers are tired of hiring employees that can not physically do the job only to end up getting hurt.  Employers are also tired of paying for injuries the employee had prior to working for them.” he added. This program is designed to eliminate those issues.
