Sheetz store managers can trigger a “position specific” background check and schedule a drug test through Premier from within Kronos. Once the background check and drug test is complete, typically within 48 hours, store managers receive an automated “eligible” or “ineligible” notification based on Sheetz’s corporate hiring criteria. “By creating a consistent, integrated screening process, Premier has removed the risk associated with local managers making potentially arbitrary hiring decisions based on screening results” said Chris Baker, Premier’s CEO. “Delivering a simple “eligible” or “ineligible” notification within Kronos’ applicant tracking system takes the guesswork out of hiring and ensures consistency and compliance”.

To close the loop on the on-boarding process, Premier takes the busy store manager out of the business of notifying candidates when they don’t qualify for employment as a result of the screening process. When Premier notifies a candidate of a potential rejection, they are offered the opportunity to respond directly to Premier though a Candidate Care Line. “Our process places utmost importance on treating Sheetz candidates with respect and dignity during the rejection process. Often, the candidate is a Sheetz customer and the lifetime value of a customer is protected when the employment rejection process is handled well,” said Baker.
